Position Summary:

The Insurance Specialist is an entry-level role that supports Account Managers and Producers with various administrative tasks related to insurance processing and client servicing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with processing:

  • Certificates of Insurance
  • Evidence of Insurance
  • Auto ID Cards
  • Endorsements
  • Policy preparation and review
  • Request loss runs from expiration lists
  • Enroll accounts in the Agency Management System
  • Add applications to the Marketing Module
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical duties to ensure adequate service

Education and Experience:

- Experience in the insurance industry is a must

- A 4-year college degree is preferred

Job Requirements:

Background: Experience in Select Lines, Businesses, Commercial and General Insurance with nationally recognized insurance carriers is highly valuable.

Language Proficiency: Excellent communication skills in English.

Insurance Knowledge: Solid understanding of insurance policies, procedures, and terminology.

Customer Service Skills: Exceptional customer service skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.

Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Time Management: Effective time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to different insurance policies and regulations.

Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in documents and policies.

Ethical Conduct: High ethical standards, maintaining confidentiality and data protection.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software, including CRM (Epic), signature software (Indio), document management (Excel), and digital communication tools.

Cultural Sensitivity: Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse clients.

 

Requirements: Must own a computer with Wi-Fi and a dual-monitor setup for remote work.
